15 Corvettes converged on Lyndoch around 9:30am for the short run out to the Rowland Flat airfield. After positioning our cars as part of the static displays it was time to wander around and check out what else was on show. Before the official start of the airshow there were various flying displays of model aircraft and a group of parachutists jumping together and testing their skills at precision landing. A wide variety of aircraft were on display both on the ground and in the air with a highlight being an aerobatic air race between two Pitts Specials. By 3pm we were about ready to head off to the local boutique brewery and after a few revisions to our departure plan we were ready to take-off….. I think Neil was just trying to abide by the club rules of having a compulsory u-turn each time we go out. This time he just decided to use virtual u-turns rather than actual u-turns. After a short drive we were in Tanunda and enjoying a refreshing ale. Goof decided he wanted to maximise his beer tasting experience by eating some of the dried hops pellets on display at the bar!.....he must have thought they were some sort of new superfood! A great day out was had by all who attended.
